In the third quarter of 2021, the performance of the top food delivery service apps on the Android platform in Brazil showcased interesting trends. Data from Sensor Tower highlights the key metrics of downloads and active users for the top five apps: iFood comida e mercado em casa, Zé Delivery de Bebidas, 99 Food – Food Delivery, Uber Eats: Food Delivery, and Rappi: Food Delivery, Grocery.

iFood comida e mercado em casa saw a consistent number of weekly downloads throughout the quarter, peaking at approximately 324.6K in the week of September 20. The app also maintained a high number of weekly active users, starting at around 8.9M in late June and ending the quarter with about 8.9M active users.

Zé Delivery de Bebidas experienced a rise in weekly downloads, reaching a high of approximately 145.6K in the week of September 20. The active user base saw a gradual increase over the quarter, starting at around 593.5K and peaking at 652K in mid-September before slightly declining to 591.1K by the end of September.

99 Food – Food Delivery showed fluctuations in weekly downloads, with a notable peak at approximately 92.7K in mid-September. The app's active users also displayed a gradual upward trend, starting at around 529.4K in late June and reaching approximately 586.7K by mid-September before a slight decline towards the end of the quarter.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery saw a decrease in weekly downloads, starting at around 67.6K in late June and ending the quarter at approximately 40.8K. Similarly, the active user count declined from about 3.5M to approximately 2.7M over the same period.

Rappi: Food Delivery, Grocery had a steady number of weekly downloads, with a peak of around 52.7K in early August. The weekly active users showed a slight decline over the quarter, starting at approximately 1.25M in late June and ending at around 1.11M by the end of September.
